Guidance policy & privacy

A helpful starting point
Professor Mazzerton provides general family education and conversation suggestions. It does not diagnose, screen for conditions, assess an individual child, provide therapy, prescribe treatment, or assign personality or clinical labels. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice. Using the site does not create a clinician–patient or professional–client relationship.
Who is behind Mazzerton?
Mazzerton was founded by Dr. Masoud Saman, a board-certified surgeon and father of three daughters, with a strong background in neuroscience, development, and behavioral psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas. His wife, a pediatric dentist, works closely with children every day, bringing a practical perspective on their needs and communication.
Mazzerton brings that interest in development into an AI guidance system built around evidence-based research. It helps parents think through specific everyday situations, understand possible explanations, and find practical words and next steps. Children can also use a guided message builder to share their perspective. Dr. Saman is the founder and product creator. Responses are not individually reviewed by him, and the service has not had independent clinical review.
About the Professor and AI
The Professor is a fictional illustrated character presented by software, not a human, clinician, or real professor. AI-assisted mode, when enabled, uses an artificial-intelligence language model, guided by a library of research sources, to generate responses from the details you submit. Curated mode matches selections to prepared educational content. The child feature is a guided message builder. It uses local templates based on selected choices, followed by the child’s edits. It does not translate or analyze a written story. The optional scratchpad stays separate from the starter message. The selected mode is identified in the experience.
AI and prepared content can be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Neither can determine someone’s motives or mental health. Review suggestions critically and check important concerns with a qualified professional. References support general principles; they do not validate each generated sentence or activity. The service has not had independent clinical review, and no outcome is guaranteed.
Observations, not identities
Profile choices describe what you have noticed lately. They are not tests, diagnoses, fixed personality types, or findings about a child. Age provides general context, not an individual assessment. Birth order does not determine personality. Zodiac content is optional entertainment and is excluded from evidence-based guidance. A child can disagree with any suggested interpretation.
When to seek personal support
If concerns persist, worsen, cause distress, or interfere with sleep, eating, school, relationships, or everyday life, speak with your child’s pediatrician or a licensed child mental-health professional. A school counselor can help connect your family with support. Seek advice sooner whenever you are concerned; do not delay professional care because of this site.
If there is immediate danger or someone may be hurt, contact local emergency services. For suicide or self-harm concerns in the United States, call or text 988. Outside the United States, use your local crisis service. A child who feels unsafe should contact a trusted uninvolved adult or appropriate professional; they should not be required to share with a potentially unsafe caregiver. No one monitors this site for emergencies, and automated responses cannot reliably detect risk.
What happens to your information
No app account is required. Optional saved profiles are kept in your browser on this device and can be deleted through My family. Other people with access to the device may be able to see them. Guide requests send the entered profile, selections, and notes to the server. The application does not write guidance requests or responses to a database; hosting services may process technical request data under their own policies.
In AI-assisted mode, relevant observations, age, pronouns, family context, written situation, and any follow-up answer you choose to submit are sent to OpenAI. Nicknames, profile IDs, and zodiac selections are excluded from the model context. We request non-stored API responses, but this does not guarantee zero provider retention. Avoid names, addresses, contact details, and other identifying information in written notes. Review OpenAI’s privacy policy and Vercel’s privacy policy.
The child message builder’s original scratchpad stays in page memory and is not sent to the guidance API. Only the message the child reviews and approves is shown in the parent handoff. Leaving or refreshing clears the in-app draft; screenshots, clipboard copies, shared-device access, and browser or operating-system behavior are outside the app’s control. This is not a confidential clinical service.
Use with care
Adults should review age-appropriate use with children. Generated family images are illustrative scenes, not customer testimonials. This policy describes the service’s limits; it does not remove rights or protections that apply under law.
